We cite health bodies and peer-reviewed research, and we link to the original so you can check it. Our Editorial Policy explains how.
Guidance changes, and sources sometimes disagree with each other. We check pages and record when each was last verified, but you should check anything important with the original source, or with a doctor.
Accuracy
We work hard to get this right. We fix mistakes when we find them, or when you point them out. We cannot promise every page is complete, current and free of error.
Links to other sites
We link to health bodies, research and other outside pages. We do not control those sites. We are not responsible for what they publish, or for how they handle your data.
