This explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version
We collect your email address only if you ask us to send you something, such as a printable or new guides. We use analytics to see which pages are useful and where the site is hard to use. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
If you ask for a printable, such as the baby teeth chart, we collect your email address. With it we record the page you signed up on, when you signed up, and which version of the sign-up wording you saw. We use your email address to send you the printable you asked for.
If you ask for new guides by email, either by ticking the box on a printable form or by signing up for them on their own, we also send you an email when a new guide is published. Nothing else.
If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can answer it.
When anyone visits, our analytics record which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world visitors are, what device and browser they use, and how they arrived. We use this to improve the site, not to identify you.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details. Our sign-up forms ask only for your email address, never for anything about your child, such as their name, age or date of birth. We do not collect health records. We do not knowingly collect anything from children.
Why we can use your email address
We send the printable because you asked for it. We send new guide emails only if you chose them, and the box for them is never ticked for you. You can change your mind at any time.
One address, one email
An address that is already on our list is never sent the same thing twice, however many times the form is submitted, so this site cannot be used to flood somebody's inbox.
How we record what you agreed to
For every sign-up we keep a record of when you signed up, where, and the exact wording you agreed to, so we can show what you chose if you ever ask.

Each has its own privacy policy and its own security arrangements.
Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies. They are only set if you accept them when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. The site works the same either way. Our sign-up forms do not set cookies.
How long we keep it
Email addresses stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is deleted automatically at the end of the retention period set in each tool.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by writing to us.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or the CCPA. We will honour those requests wherever you are.
Children
This site is written for parents, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
